Lavender grows in both warm planting zones from the Texas Hill Country to the frigid conditions in Canada.
Lavender is one of the most abundant of all the herbs. It can produce more essential oil than many of the other types of herbs/plants. 30 pounds of lavender buds will produce 1 pound of essential oil. Compare those results to rose oil that requires 60,000 rose blossoms to produce 1 ounce of oil.
